The Netherlands, England, France, Russia, America… all over the world are oriental lilies a popular flower bulb. Each year millions of lilies have their origin from our glass houses. Boxes with new lilies are placed inside our glass house with the use of robots. Inside our glass house we use computers for climate control, irrigation and to control the lights based on cogeneration; all so our lilies have an optimal growth with care for quality and the environment. After 11 weeks it’s time to harvest and pack them per bouquet as our costumers wish. White lilies are the favorite, but also shades of pink are highly requested. With our glasshouses, combined a total footprint of 5 hectares, we grow the most beautiful lilies year-round.

The bulbs are planted in boxes filled with soil that contain Cocos; an optimal substrate for growing. This Cocos substrate is than reused using a method we started as the first lily company in The Netherlands. In a climate controlled room the bulbs get a good chance
to develop and grow as much roots as possible. This leads to not only a shortened grow period inside the glasshouse, but they are also of a higher quality. After a few weeks the boxes are moved from the climate controlled room to the glass house to grow even further. Our method fits guidelines from Mileu Project Sierteelt.

Our principle is: Growing is innovating. And with that we don’t only mean growing in volume, but especially growing as an organisation. Thinking ahead, constantly striving for the highest quality with care for the world around us. To work as sustainable as possible. We accomplish this with a team of motivated colleagues with who we work to create a beautiful result. Only lilies that grow following our passion for flowers let we proudly carry the name Bianca Flowers.
